Traditionally, to change a roller, it is often the case that:
i) The belt has to be lifted off the rollers.
This often requires the operator to gain physical access between the belts or to employ a lifting device.
ii) The whole frame has to be unbolted to relieve contact with the belt.
This often needs burning gear and also loses the "tracking" position of the frame.
This new design of roller frame incorporates a mechanism whereby the frame is quickly pivoted and locked in a position below the belt, disengaging the rollers from the belt contact and allows for safe and easy roller change by one man without the physical need to lift the belt up.
Use of cantilever roller brackets ensures that in the event of a roller being dislodged, there are no brackets protruding upwards to potentially rip the belt.
